Our extremely popular and friendly Mobility & Balance class runs twice per week to allow you to choose a day that suits you best – or you can attend on both days if you want! This class is led by a highly skilled physiotherapist for your safety and piece of mind and is targeted to support people who may require a walking aid to feel safe on their feet, have a history of dizziness or loss of balance.
The class is performed predominantly in standing, is based around a physiotherapy plinth and each participant is provided with a seat to take a break as needed. We encourage and support group participants to challenge their balance beyond their usual limits and develop strength to aid mobility. The class is suitable for age-related joint and muscle problems as well as vestibular system issues and neurological conditions which cause problems with mobility and balance.
All exercises are based on the most recent medical evidence and proven to make significant positive changes to mobility and reduce the risk of falls. We have a great community of participants regularly attending our groups and hope to welcome you along too!
